Founded in 2011 by Guru Vidyalatha Jeerage, Vidya Dance Academy (VDA) is a premier Bharatanatyam institution dedicated to preserving and promoting the rich traditions of Indian classical dance. Through rigorous training, creative expression, and performance opportunities, VDA nurtures students to become well-rounded dancers while fostering a deep appreciation for the art form.

• Personalized Instruction: Each student receives individual attention, whether they are beginners exploring the dance form or advanced dancers preparing for Arangetram or professional performances.

• Comprehensive Curriculum: The academy offers a well-rounded curriculum that includes theoretical knowledge, practical training, and performance opportunities to ensure a deep understanding of Bharatanatyam.

• Performance Opportunities for Solo & Group Dancers:
  At VDA, solo performances are given prime importance. Advanced students are encouraged to take the stage individually, allowing them to showcase their technical mastery, emotional depth, and stage presence. Alongside solo performances, VDA provides ample opportunities for group performances, fostering teamwork, synchronization, and collective artistic expression.

  One of the most anticipated events is the Annual Event – Parva, where students of all levels present their pieces. This event showcases both solo and group performances, creating a beautiful blend of individual artistry and collective harmony. Additionally, VDA students perform on prestigious national and international platforms, gaining valuable experience and exposure.

• Volunteering & Leadership Exposure:
  VDA believes in nurturing not just dancers, but well-rounded individuals. Students get valuable volunteering experience by assisting in events conducted by Guru Vidyalatha Jeerage, helping with backstage management, organizing performances, and learning the behind-the-scenes efforts that go into hosting large-scale events.

• Hosting International Artists & Legendary Gurus:
  VDA takes pride in bringing world-renowned Bharatanatyam artists to perform and inspire students. The academy also invites legendary gurus to conduct workshops, giving students a unique opportunity to learn from masters of the art form and refine their skills.

• Community Engagement: The academy actively participates in cultural events, performances, and festivals, creating a sense of belonging and responsibility toward the artistic community.
